This
interactive program for primary and middle school students introduces
the concepts presented in textbooks for these grade levels. Randomly
selected numbers are used throughout the program, insuring that each
student gets a wide variety of unique problems. The problem solving
sections provide a review of the specified concepts, and give students
a chance to apply what they have learned.
The
Progress Report (accessible from the File Menu on the Main Menu
screen), helps you monitor your students' scores. The number of
problems a student worked, the number answered correctly, and the
percentage correct are displayed, as well as the student's ending level.
The Computer
Record Sheet,
included with The Math Class, provides a place for you to keep a
written record of your students' scores on the concepts that s/he
completes as well as a list of all the concepts found in the product.
The downloadable demo
allows you or your student to try out the entire program.

Program Features
- The Hint Box appears for the first three
problems in each section to help the student get off to a good start.
- The
student can access a tutorial by clicking on the "Show Me" button at
the beginning of any problem in the lower levels. Tutorials are not
scored.
- In the Steps mode, full credit for a right
answer is given if all the parts are correct.
- Positive feedback is always given with correct
answers.
- If
a student gets an incorrect answer, s/he may see the problem done
correctly by clicking the "Show Me" button if it is available.
- Levels
of difficulty have been added to the Math Class. Increased difficulty
may be more difficult problems and/or eliminating the example, hint,
and step-by-step buttons. The Progress report includes student's ending
level of difficulty when s/he leaves a concept.

generators are included, as well as the Problem Solving Strategy
Sheets. These provide a wide variety of worksheets to reinforce
concepts introduced in The Math Class.
