The
Algebra Class allows students to learn algebra concepts at their own
pace with minimum adult intervention. It has been used by homeschooled
students and in classrooms for a number of years. Features such as the
Hint and Example buttons guide learning while the Score Box monitors
progress in each concept. The Spanish language version, Clase de Algebra, is now available.
The Progress Report (accessible from the File Menu
on the Main Menu screen), helps you monitor your students' scores. The
number of problems worked, the number answered correctly, and the
percentage correct are displayed. The Computer Record Sheet,
included with The Algebra Class, provides a place for you to keep a
written record of your students' current status as well as a list of
all the concepts found in the product. The downloadable Semester 1 Demo and the Semester 2 Demo
enable you to try out all the concepts in the Algebra Class, although
you are limited to three problems each time you enter a concept.
Included on the CD-Rom are the Algebra Worksheet Generators and Algebra Cheat Sheets which provide worksheets to reinforce the concepts introduced in The Algebra Class.

Algebra Cheat Sheets provide a structured step-by-step

Algebra Worksheet Generator 2 prints worksheets for concepts in The Algebra Class - Part 2: factoring trinomials, solving systems of
equations, multiplying algebraic fractions, dividing algebraic fractions, functions, and relations.
Problem Solving Cheat Sheets
provide you with a series of chart to use as tools for teaching your
students problem-solving, organizational and logic skills in the
context of specific types of word problems. These Cheat Sheets

Graphing Manipulatives
|
|
Translating mathematical information from word problems to algebraic
language and graphs is critical to an understanding of algebra. Some
students can use the graphing calculator without understanding the
underlying concepts. Often these people difficulty with Geometry and
Algebra II.
Using
these Graphing Manipulatives, students learn to move between algebraic
language (such as the equation of a line), graphing equations, and the
language found in word problems. There is also the advantage of having
students who will master these concepts without using expensive
graphing calculators.
The individual graph cards are printed two to a
page, with the answer at the bottom. The cards are divided into two categories: First Degree Equations and Second Degree Equations. A worksheet from the Graphing Cheat Sheets package is included with each set so that you can use the cards effectively with your students.

Pattern Blocks: In addition to the concepts
of sequencing and patterns normally associated with pattern blocks, our
activities introduce and reinforce such concepts such as area,

activities can be used with students studying more advanced math
courses up to and including high school geometry.
Tangrams: Use these activities to teach
concepts of area, size of angles, and similarity as well as the
patterning normally associated with Tangrams.
