Teaching Tips

Senari Programs was founded in 1981 by Mrs. Micki Fitzpatrick in an effort to individualize education through technology. Senari has designed and developed curriculum-based interactive software for both the school and retail markets. Senari offers wide range of educational software -- interactive programs, print materials, and manipulatives -- as well as providing educational workshops and consulting services throughout the country.

This site can help all educators -- homeschoolers, teachers, and parents -- who are looking for curriculum information and solid educational content in materials designed to help students learn and work independently. Appropriate curriculum and resources for students and/or children can be found throughout the site. Check the links on the left to find descriptions of our interactive software, worksheet generators, and print materials by subject areas.

Mrs. Fitzpatrick's impressive 30-year background includes teaching from the pre-school to the collegiate level. Among other things, she has been the principal of a Montessori elementary and Jr. High School, developed a special needs program for learning disabled students, worked with at-risk students, and taught gifted students. With well over 50 titles to her credit, she's a pioneer in the field of computer-aided instruction.

Algebra Class

Our Algebra Class is an enhanced version of the same title, originally developed for the school market in 1996. In addition to extended concepts and improved graphics, a worksheet generator was added to the product. Information about the school market product can be found at the publishers site. http://www.wkbradford.com.

Expert Algebra

Expert Algebra was developed in 1995 and published by Expert Software, Inc. This Windows product was correlated to many of the textbooks which were used in high school classrooms at the time. The product can be seen at the publisher's site. http://www.expertsoftware.com.

Phonics

Many of our current titles are adaptations and extensions of the popular DinoSoft Series, which Senari developed and programmed between 1991 and 1995. Full voice support, and the Little Bear are featured on our interactive CD-ROM products adapted from this series.

Algebra Made Easy

Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 for IBM-DOS and the Apple IIgs were developed in 1989. Algebra Made Easy, an updated version of the IBM product, was published in 1991.

Vision Software
Vision Software

Senari Programs developed 16 titles for Vision Software between 1985 and 1989. Each title was available in three versions -- Apple, IBM, and C-64, making a total of 48.

Voyages in English, a series of English textbooks, published by Loyola University Press, was our first major venture into educational software development. In 1983, the software we developed to accompany the Voyages textbooks (Grades 3-8) was published.

Although Voyages in English is now out of print, these textbooks which provide a solid foundation in grammar are available from Follett Educational Services at www.fes.follett.com

.

In addition to creating software, Senari has experienced significant success through our consultation work with organizations such as P.A.R.K. (Positive Atmosphere Reaches Kids). We also offer workshops to assist in the use of Senari's products and teaching concepts.
